Craig Ferguson has built a strong reputation for his work, supporting a wide range of professional musicians including Graeme Blevins (RAYE, Kylie Minogue), James Mollison (Ezra Collective), Naomi Sullivan (Professor at Royal Northern College), Kyle Horch (Professor at Royal College) and Andy McKay (Roxy Music), as well as many students and dedicated players.
Craig began his repair journey with Kent Music, where he was part of the music resources team. This role gave him a strong foundation in repairing woodwind, brass, and string instruments. Keen to develop his skills further, he later joined Sax.co.uk, working on instruments both old and new under the guidance of head technician Amy Pilcher. After several successful years with the team, Craig took the opportunity to lead saxophone servicing and repairs at Howarth of London.
Craig has also continued to refine his craft through specialist training, including the Trevor Head Woodwind course, and by learning from respected technicians such as Daniel Bangham, Anton Bourdillon, Neil Clark, and Paul Charman.
As a musician himself, Craig understands how important it is for an instrument to feel right. His focus is simple: to help you get the best possible sound and control from your instrument. With a friendly, straightforward approach, he offers honest advice and ensures you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way.

Craig Ferguson is absolutely brilliant. The work he has done on various saxes I have brought him over the years such as Mark VI alto, Buffet S1 alto, and Mark VI soprano has been absolutely spot on. Craig understands the nuances that come with instruments with big personalities. At the same time, he has an amazing attitude which is completely client focused. He always goes out of his way to help make repairs / adjustments happen in as timely a manner as possible. 5 stars is not enough!Posted on Google TootintateTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been taking my saxophones to Craig for many years, whether for quick repairs, routine servicing, or more extensive work. He also completed a full repad on my MKVI alto, and the results were outstanding. Craig has consistently provided me with expert advice and always carries out repairs to the highest standard. He has a great understanding of the nuances of individual setups and knows exactly how to achieve the best possible setup for my playing. Most importantly, I can always rely on my instruments being in top playing condition, whatever performance or gig I have coming up. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Craig to any saxophonist looking for professional, knowledgeable, and reliable repair work.Posted on Google J RomTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Craig's always done a brilliant job patching up my horns from general wear & tear over the years. He always delivers top quality work and is willing to accommodate professional gig schedules. He's one of the few repairers worldwide I trust for the full overhauls of my saxophones.
